Tests of Endurance

Tests of Endurance

Tests of Endurance was another Acid Planet collaboration. I thought this song would make it’s way to the air waves for sure, but it never happened. So much good music out there and a lot of it never goes anywhere. This song was recorded in 2007. I found a copy on an old hard drive. It’s still a great song and could probably get some air play today.

I don’t have the original tracks for or I would re-master the song. The track is pretty clean, but digital audio mastering has come a long way since Tests of Endurance was recorded. It would be nice to hear a “clean” version of this song. Anyhoo, this is great song. If you want a copy, shoot me an email. Post the song on your social links. Maybe we can generate some interest for the song.

I had this photo marked as the cover art for the track. Not 100% sure, I can’t remember (it was a very long time ago). The photo seems to match the song’s vibe and energy, so my notes are probably correct. According to the meta tag on the photo, the girls name “Tyria”.

I found Lamarhythm on Acid Planet years ago. I got to know the composer (Yoshiyuki Endo) and we collaborated on several projects. Most of his songs are amazing, but this one is my fav. In fact, Lamarhythm is one of my all time Acid Planet favorites. I keep this song in my iTunes library.

Yoshiyuki sent me the original Lamarhythm tracks back in 2009. I just found the tracks on an old hard drive. I decided to remaster all of the tracks and mix the song down again. This song was originally recorded in 2006. The DAW’s back then were good, but a LOT has improved since then. I was able to pull out the bass and strings, then balance everything in the mix.

I always picture monks chanting when I listen to this song (and/or monks flying around fighting). This photo of the Buddhist Lantern Festival is stunning. This festival is definitely on my ‘bucket-list’. I would love to watch the Lantern Festival unfold in person.
